Wool earned its place in outerwear for reasons the fibre is uniquely suited to. It naturally regulates temperature, traps heat without bulk, and holds its shape through years of wear. Cut into a coat or jacket, it produces a piece that handles cold and wind without losing its line.
The Rodd & Gunn wool range covers the full spectrum.
Overcoats and peacoats sit at the heavier end for cold, structured days. Blazers offer a more tailored cut for smart casual occasions. Casual wool-blend jackets and Harringtons sit lighter for transitional wear. Across each category, the fabric does the work the silhouette is built for.
Fibres reflect the same priorities applied across the rest of the range. Select styles use ZQRX Merino, a New Zealand programme founded on regenerative farming and full traceability to the grower. Other pieces use Italian-milled wool blends sourced from suppliers with long-standing relationships, chosen for consistency of weight and finish. Recycled wool features on selected styles, reducing demand on virgin fibre without compromising warmth.
Construction details support longevity. Corozo nut buttons replace plastic across select styles. Linings on selected pieces use blends of recycled polyester and viscose.
Each piece carries our 2 year guarantee*.
