RODD & GUNN SCAM AWARENESS

Sophisticated scammers continue to produce fraudulent websites and social advertising to dupe consumers into purchasing goods online from illegitimate businesses.

Understanding how to check a website's authenticity will help protect your personal and financial information from being stolen. Here are some red flags to look out for:

Carefully check the URL.

Scammers may use a slightly misspelled URL or change the domain name completely. Rodd & Gunn's genuine retail websites only operate through the domain beginning with: https://roddandgunn.com/nz.

Prices may be heavily discounted.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is. Scammers will often advertise Rodd & Gunn products up to 80% off retail price. Our commitment to quality is reflected fairly in our pricing, so please check our website here for any current sales or promotions.

Social media advertising.

Be cautious to click into social adverts which promote heavy discounts on Facebook or Instagram, and avoid related surveys. These can appear legitimate, so please only click into advertisements with the handles @roddandgunnnz on Facebook and @roddandgunn on Instagram.

Reporting a scam.

If you see a fraudulent website or scam advertising, please report it to customerservice@roddandgunn.com. It is helpful for us if you can provide the URL of the site, the date it was discovered and any screenshots of the scam so we can work to take it down as soon as possible.

Please only purchase with our trusted sellers to ensure the validity of your order.
