Men's Suede Jackets
A well-made suede jacket sits somewhere between casual and considered. It softens any outfit without pulling it apart. Rodd & Gunn suede styles span field jackets, blouson cuts, overshirts, and Harringtons, each cut from a hide chosen for the silhouette it serves.
Two grades of suede feature most across the range. Sheep suede has a slightly denser surface that suits structured styles. Goatskin is lighter, more supple, and works well in unstructured cuts where drape matters. Both develop a patina over time and respond well to regular care.
Construction follows the same conventions applied across our leather collection. Topstitching provides structural strength at points of wear. YKK zippers are specified on zippered styles. Corozo buttons feature on select pieces.
Suede asks slightly more of its owner than full-grain leather. A regular brush keeps the nap consistent. Treated properly, it rewards the effort: the colour deepens with wear, and the surface develops a soft, lived-in feel that no synthetic alternative replicates.
Linings on select styles incorporate recycled polyester and viscose blends. Each piece is backed by our 2 year guarantee*, with care extending the life considerably further.
