Our popular Motion Short is crafted from a four-season Italian twill, enriched with stretch for comfort and maximum range of motion while on the move. The mid-weight structure of the fabric is wearable all year, whilst cut in our universally flattering original fit.

Our fit pointer will help you to find the best fit and style, based on the measurement of a garment that already sits on the body correctly. All measurements taken from the outside of the garment, with the garment lying flat:

Shorts

Rise:
The length from the fork (where the legs meet at the crotch) to the top edge, measured along the fly.

Thigh:
Measure the leg width at the fork level, and double.

Knee:
Measure the leg width halfway between the fork and the leg opening, and double.

Leg Opening:
Double the measurement of the hem, flatten creased trousers along their natural creases.

Rise: The length from the fork (where the legs meet at the crotch) to the top edge, measured along the fly.

Thigh: Measure the leg width at the fork level, and double.

Knee: Measure the leg width halfway between the fork and the leg opening, and double.

Leg Opening: Double the measurement of the hem, flatten creased trousers along their natural creases.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Toby from What You Expect Pretty much what you expect from a pair of shorts. Has a coin pocket, side pocket and two back pockets. The double button zipper fly is ok, but a metal clip instead of buttons would have been better. The material is soft and stretchy. First place to wear out was the crotch. The navy version is susceptible to fading but this material and dye is more resistant, then of course the beige don’t fade at all really.
