AN ELEVATED EXPERIENCE

While the venue initially opened in August 2016, the extensive renovation has completely reimagined the space. A standout addition to The Lodge is the bespoke bar – featuring intricate timber details, a striking black marble bar top, a pressed steel bar face, an aged smoked mirror, and polished brass highlights. The elegant build makes for the perfect spot to enjoy cocktails crafted from the South Island’s finest local spirits.

Helmed by Executive Chef Matt Lambert, the newly expanded commercial-grade kitchen produces a refreshed dining menu. From steamed green lip mussels to cacio e pepe and Lake Ohau wagyu t-bone steak, Chef Lambert’s culinary expertise ensures a refined and memorable gastronomic experience.

Complementing the world-class dining options, Cameron Douglas – New Zealand’s one and only Master Sommelier – has transformed The Lodge’s beverage offering with Central Otago and New Zealand’s finest wines. This includes the Rodd & Gunn Central Otago Pinot Noir – our very first wine launched earlier this year. Enjoy a glass.

A REFRESHED INTERIOR

From a structural perspective, the façade of the venue has been rebuilt to facilitate more internal space. Offering breathtaking views of Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding peaks, the custom-designed floor-to-ceiling bi-fold doors invite the vibrant energy of the lakefront into the venue.

Complete with oak floorboards, bluestone tiles, thick fur throws, and a wide array of seating options – the redesigned venue allows guests the flexibility to create their own unique experience (harmoniously balancing old and new).
