Nestled in the heart of Cardrona, Central Otago in New Zealand – the eponymous distillery is the source of some of The Lodge Queenstown’s finest spirits. Through their unmistakable ‘grain to glass’ approach, every facet of a Cardrona product is of the highest quality: their rich malted barley, pure valley alpine water, locally sourced ingredients and hand-picked Spanish and American oak casks.

GRAIN TO GLASS
The King of Grains - barley, is grown on the rich Canterbury plains before being malted to exact standards. The malted barley is subsequently milled onsite and combined with pure alpine water.
After adding yeast, a 70-hour fermentation commences. It is during these initial stages that the distillery itself and the windswept landscape they inhabit begin to etch unique character into the spirits. This process then sees the spirits captured in copper pot stills, which are meticulously handcrafted by artisans of distilling.
