Melding fashion, food and wine, Rodd & Gunn x The Lodge Bar & Dining James St, treats customers to a truly memorable experience. Once inside the breathtaking heritage building, circa 1876-built Lawless Grocery Store building, guests will be given the opportunity to browse the latest fashion collections and indulge in an array of delectable dishes, with a full dining offering available venue-wide.

Within the flagship lifestyle destination, multiple spaces await: a downstairs corner bar with banquette seating, a vibrant dining room and a seamless passage to the retail space. Level one will be home to a contemporary bar, private dining room and a wraparound balcony that allows for panoramic views of the James Street strip, with 150+ guests. The building's interior of the build reflects Rodd & Gunn’s rich heritage - American oak wood flooring, wool rugs, tan leather, and brass accents throughout
The magnificent Queenslander will blend local design and the raw, pure forms of nature found in our home country, New Zealand, catering to everything from a casual cocktail through to a celebratory dinner to larger, personalised events. There’s even a hefty snack menu to enjoy.
Much like our approach to fashion, the food and wine offering is a modern take on timeless classics. The Lodge Bar & Dining James St, will follow the same ethos as its New Zealand restaurants by sourcing the finest local produce Australia has to offer, allowing the quality ingredients to shine.
Our Executive Chef of The Lodge Bar Group, Matt Lambert, has developed a decadent menu to be brought to life by Head Chef, James Evangelinos. Master Sommelier and The Lodge Bar’s Head of Beverages, Cameron Douglas, will craft an expansive wine list of over 250 bottles, featuring multi-award-winning New Zealand wines alongside varieties from Australia and around the world.
The Brisbane venture marks the fourth venue for The Lodge Bar Group. The original arm of the hospitality venture for Rodd & Gun began in Queenstown, opening August 2016, followed by Auckland in June 2020, and the unveiling of Myer Chadstone (Melbourne) in November 2021.
