QUEENSTOWN GLACIER FLIGHT

We take you to the awe-inspiring scenic location of our Winter 2021 campaign on this epic helicopter flight. Soar high across the sparkling waters of Lake Wakatipu and over snow capped mountains, frozen lakes and ancient rainforests of the World Heritage Fiordland National Park and the glacial rich Mount Aspiring National Park.

Your Rodd & Gunn host will meet you at your accommodation and transfer you to the helicopter hangar.

12:00pm
Your pilot will fly you over precious glaciers and skillfully weave between snow capped mountains. From your seat you can view the astonishing features of these ancient ice formations, marvel at the mesmerizing shapes and dramatic colours constantly evolving sculpture crafted by nature.

Landing alongside the alpine lake featured in our campaign, you will enjoy refreshments prepared for you by our Lodge Bar team. Feed your soul with the sound of absolute silence as you absorb the majestic beauty of this remote and seemingly spiritual alpine sanctum.

Journey back to Queenstown over remote and isolated high country stations, sweeping across the rich gold fields of Skippers Canyon and following the glacial fed crystalline waters of the Shotover River in a breathtaking display of untamed beauty and rich culture.

At the conclusion of your helicopter experience your Rodd & Gunn host will drop you at your accommodation or central Queenstown.
