We are excited to welcome renowned Kiwi Michelin Star Chef, Matt Lambert as Executive Chef of The Lodge Bar Group, Rodd & Gunn’s hospitality arm.

Rodd & Gunn’s relationship with Matt Lambert flourished during his personal venture ‘The Musket Room’ when it opened in Nolita, NYC, back in 2013. Rodd & Gunn supplied uniforms for The Musket Room team, allowing Chef to showcase the full New Zealand offering from product to plate for a Kiwi experience reflecting his homeland.

Within four short months, Matt & The Musket Room were awarded a Michelin Star, an outstanding achievement for his culinary expertise.

Naturally, when Rodd & Gunn opened The Lodge Bar Queenstown in August 2016 Matt was the only chef the brand had its sights on. The shared passion for New Zealand and ethos of sourcing only the finest produce is self-evident, ensuring a cohesive and productive working relationship.

Showcasing the best New Zealand has to offer, Matt is dedicating his immense technical skill, experience and passion for New Zealand produce to The Lodge Bar & Dining Auckland and The Lodge Bar Queenstown.

This appointment signals Rodd & Gunn’s future growth and ambition in experiential retail, combining retail and hospitality spaces, we are privileged to be associated with a chef of Matt’s calibre on a full-time basis located at The Lodge Bar & Dining, Commercial Bay, Auckland.
