Rodd & Gunn is committed to sourcing the finest fabrics from around the world. For nearly 20 years, we’ve proudly partnered with the Albini fabric mill, one of Italy’s most respected textile producers, to craft our range from premium Italian fabrics, including our luxurious linens.

Founded in 1876, the Albini fabric mill has earned a reputation as the birthplace of luxury Italian fabrics and is renowned around the world for its quality and versatility.

Only the best raw materials become Albini fabrics. Harvested by hand from the coastlines of Normandy, the linen fibres move to the mill in the Bergamo province in Italy, where it is produced and manufactured into luxuriously light and textured linen fabric, ready to be transformed into quality linen garments at our workshops.

HOW TO WASH LINEN

If you're using a washing machine, use the gentle or delicate wash setting on cold or warm, with a low spin cycle.

Add a little detergent and wash with light materials that don't fill up too much space in the machine. The linen can stretch within the load if there's not enough room to move in the machine.

Alternatively, you can hand wash your linen with a soft detergent. Just don't soak it for too long. Instead, dunk it into a cold-water tub with gentle soap and gently rinse.

What about dry-cleaning? Other than linen suits, sport coats, and linen jackets, we advise against dry-cleaning linen.

Always review the care instructions for any individual linen items, as each piece could have its own unique washing and drying needs.

HOW TO STORE & DRY LINEN

Rodd & Gunn's men's linen shirts are quick-drying and easy to maintain.

The best way to keep linen shirts and suits looking fresh are to store them away in a hanging closet on wide hangers. For shorts, fold them in half once down the middle and tuck them away.

To keep your linen in shape, protect it from external moisture or humidity by storing away.
