The Dunedin Military boot is our all-purpose boot. Uppers are made from premium natural leathers that are full of character, with matching suede collars, and antiqued finished trims including the 'pointer' rivet. The upper is lined with both leather and fabric. The outsole features a heavy rand detail, two tone cleated rubber outsole and a roughed finished heel for that casual look. The Dunedin is paired perfectly with denim or chinos, either tucked into or over the ankle of the boot.

Fell short of perfect
I love these boots. Unbelievable comfort and great style. BUT The laces went too quickly and when I reached out I never got a response. and now the sole is separating. I’ve only owned them for less than a year. For $250 boots I expect more life out of them. Disappointed to say the least.

Great boots!
I got these boots for work and needed a style that more formal but still had good grip and these fit my wants and need perfectly. I got the boots and put them on and after a hour of breaking them in, I had massive heel blisters and the skin had peeled down to nothing from the inside of the boot.
I put a bandaid on it and pushed on and now they’re the most comfortable boots. The leather looks amazing with its lines of wear and just looks amazing.
I very much recommend these to people.
Just take your time wearing them in and be mindful cause they’re stiff, it’ll probably take time to wear in. But will be worth it in the end!

Fashionable BUT poor quality and craftsmanship
Bought these boots because they look great. Unfortunately in the short amount of time I've had them, there are some serious issues and show how poor these are in terms of quality and design:
1. Laces have shredded themselves on the lace hooks after less than two months of moderate wear
2. Leather quality is really bad: visible wrinkles/delamination/marks straight out of the box
3. Not breathable at all; your feet will be sweaty after a few hours of wear even in cooler seasons. Cheaper boots from Aldo breathe better than this.

Outstanding quality product and service!!
Outstanding service!!
Normally, because I have a busy life do not give reviews, but I was impressed with Todd & Gunn
First of all it a great product. This is how everyone used to make shoes in the past. Leather, stitched and high quality.
Further the customer service was fantastic. We ended up ordering the wrong size and had to return the shoes. They were unlike so many other customers services, very easy to get a hold of, and provided pleasant service. They had run out in the size we needed. It did not take long for them to deliver out of the new stock and they granted the sale on the original order.
Lastly, I love how the shoes are delivered. They are wrapped well to hold shape and are presented in little stuff sacks, an extra set of laces, and forms all ready to go if you needed to return them again.
All in all, with the quality of the product and the customer service, the price is well worth it.

Straight out the box!
As soon as you open the box you'll see and smell the quality of these boots. The leather is soft and supple but looks hard wearing as the the name would imply "Dunedin Military Boot!" As soon I put them on I knew my hard earned money was well spent. I was expecting a period of pain while I broke the boots in; but none of that, they're so comfortable, the workmanship is out standing.
I bought these for casual wear but they wouldn't look out of place in semi formal environment. I can see these boots lasting a good few years with care and with time I'll get that well worn look that I'm after. Down side I haven't got the money to buy a second pair!

Wonderful customer service
Having viewed the boots on John Lewis website, we were disappointed that they didn't have my husband's size in stock. I was able to order them directly from Rodd and Gunn as a Christmas present. Unfortunately there was a problem with the courier at a local level and the boots remained undelivered and were returned to Rodd and Gunn. My money was swiftly refunded and the lovely lady on customer service arranged to have the boots delivered to a John Lewis store near me. I received an email to say when the boots had arrived in store and was able to collect them in time for Christmas. Excellent boots and excellent service from Rodd and Gunn

Poor quality fittings
Very disappointed with these boots - the shoe is ok but the fittings are rubbish. Two of the lace hooks on the boot are made from a cheap alloy and have snapped, so I have to replace these, the hooks also caused the laces to fray after only 1 weeks use! And when replacing the laces, one of the metal grommets on the eyelets came out.

This is my second pair!
This is my second pair! Love them. I would also be keen on a much darker brown colour if it was available in this style. My first pair, the laces didn't last and needed to be replaced, but I did run them into the ground. Would and will purchase again. I just hope R&G keep this line going.

Poor laces
I read the laces were terrible reading reviews prior to purchase and chuckled that someone would mention that as a problem. But im here to 2nd that motion; lace tips fell off and frayed day 2, cmon guys put the pennies into the laces for better review. Picture looks better than the shoe but not bad -wouldnt pay 200$ for them again ... go up another 100$ for the boot i was looking for.

Great Boots
What can I say - great quality boots at an affordable price
They are better up close and personal than they are in the pictures
