MEN’S SHIRTS

The range is built around cotton and cotton blends, with linen and linen-blend styles sitting alongside. The cotton shirts use an Oxford weave as the fabric: a basket-weave construction that is heavier than poplin and has a subtle texture that holds its structure through repeated washing. Select Oxford styles use 100% Australian Good Earth Cotton, a sustainably grown fibre with full traceability back to its source. Cotton blends and linen blends offer lighter-weight options for warmer conditions.

The Sports Fit is the slimmest cut, fitted across the chest and shoulder for a modern, tailored look. The Original Fit is the classic Rodd & Gunn cut: a clean, straight line through the body with more room through the chest and waist. The Weekend Fit is the most relaxed of the options, with a looser body and a slightly longer hem designed for untucked wear.

The range covers a wide selection from plain colpurs through to bold prints. Oxford styles are available in solid colours, bengal stripes, and check patterns including subtle two-tone checks and bolder window check designs. Our short-sleeve styles come in printed fabrics such as tropical prints, geometric patterns, and seasonal colourways. Solid colours are available all year round, covering neutrals, blues, greens, and earth tones.

Across the range, we focus on quality and longevity. Our Oxford shirts use a washed 2-ply construction, where two yarns are twisted together before weaving to create a fabric that is stronger and softer than a single-ply equivalent, and continues to improve with each wash. Metal buttons are used on the placket across the range. Across selected styles, a box pleat with a hanger loop sits at the back yoke, allowing a greater range of movement without the fabric pulling. Each shirt is finished with our signature pointer dog embroidered on the chest. Shirt tails are cut longer than average to stay tucked through the day.

Several collar types are available across the range: button-down, point, and spread. The button-down collar is the most common across the Oxford styles, lying flat without the need for collar stays. The point collar has a narrower spread and is suited to more formal occasions. The spread collar has a wider angle between the collar points, giving a more open, relaxed look at the neck. Cuff options across the range include barrel, mitered, and rounded. Barrel cuffs are the most versatile: a clean, straight-edged finish that works for both casual and smart occasions. Mitered cuffs have an angled cut for a more tailored finish. Rounded cuffs have a soft, curved edge suited to more casual styles.

The shoulder seam should sit at the edge of the shoulder. From there, it differs by style. In a Sports Fit, the chest should feel fitted without pulling across the buttons, and the sleeve should taper cleanly to the wrist. In an Original Fit, there is more room through the chest and waist, but the shirt should still sit close enough to the body that it tucks cleanly without excess fabric bunching at the sides. In a Weekend Fit, the body is intentionally loose and the hem is cut to sit cleanly when worn untucked. Across all fits, the back yoke should lie flat across the shoulders without lifting, and the shirt tail should be long enough to stay tucked through a full day of wear.
