Cashmere plays a big role in this year’s winter collection. Known as one of the noble fibres, along with merino and alpaca, cashmere is durable, easy to work with and glorious to wear. It’s lighter than wool and travels beautifully – perfect for your weekend bag.

Rodd & Gunn blend their high quality cashmere with 50 per cent optim wool and 20 per cent merino for their v-neck sweater range, producing a product with a soft handfeel that keeps its shape and is hardwearing. They also use noble fibre blends in their coats; most notably the perennially popular cashmere and wool Archers Coat and the range of lightweight alpaca fibre soft tailored jackets.

While cashmere yarn is more traditionally dyed in bright colours, this season’s palette caters to all admirers with neutral and brighter shades to add some versatility to your winter wardrobe.
