Poor quality pant design/styles
The design of these jeans is pretty poor. They feel like wearing skinny jeans.
So if you are a customer over 35 with legs to fit then try somewhere else or online overseas.
R&G seems to forget about styling for the over 35 demographic, well except for their Motion 2 Chinos.
I have bought better styled and fitting jeans at M&S, especially their stretch jeans.

Two defective pairs.
Both pairs I ordered had defects. Do yourself a favour and go to a store to buy them. I guarantee the stores will get defective pairs from time to time, and send them back to the warehouse where they sit in a pile. Then when you order online, they just take from that pile eventually. They should send those ones to winners.

Fits surprisingly well
These are my first pair of jeans (Coal/30/Short) from Rodd and Gunn, and I'm pretty happy with them. It's slimmer than I expected but fits surprisingly well. Very comfortable to move in. I like that you can choose the lengths as well.

4.5/5 - A few minor issues with an otherwise outstanding pair of trousers
These feel great (soft denim) and fit like a high end pair of pants that involved a considerable amount of cutting to make the shape anatomically correct. They don’t feel like mass-produced jeans. The way they fit over my hips was remarkably comfortable from day one and only got better as I broke them in. They wash well - minimal to no shrinking (air dry), and the fabric doesn’t pill or lose its shape. I haven’t noticed any fading after about 5 washes, but the label says they’re meant to fade with age which will likely enhance the “patina”.
I have big legs, an average size butt and a pretty small waist, which makes it challenging to find pants that are flattering in the seat without being too tight in the leg. Athletic cuts usually are too relaxed up top, and slim cuts are usually good up top but look spray-paint tight on my thighs and calves. The Motion 2 Straight Jeans are the perfect pants for my body shape. They don’t look like a typical “straight” fit, which I usually find boxy. The legs on these actually look pretty slim on me (the way slim fit pants look on people with slim legs). I also love that these come in multiple inseam lengths.
I have just one complaint: the crotch is a bit too tight. I think the front and back rise are both perfect; I just wish there was a bit more room in the front zipper area. I feel compressed and constricted. This is the only uncomfortable part of these jeans for me. A minor adjustment here would make these a holy grail pant for me.

Navy blue color is anything but
What R&G calls Navy Blue is much closer to a Slate. I bought the same straight model in dark Greg and navy blue and i can barely tell them apart. Besides, i can’t match the so-called navy blue pants with a navy blue tee or a navy blue jersey.

Terrible Service
I have not received my order (2 pair) in over three weeks! Your team said it’s stuck in transit. Probably should have sent me a new order by now. Very disappointing not to get an order from Nov 30th before Christmas.

Poor fitting and probably won’t ever wear them
I have previous items with the same style code. This pair are so ill fitting and baggy I will barely wear them. Verging on throwing them in the bin. Might mow the lawns in them but that would be about all.

Tried on a pair and knew I’d found a winner
This brand was a chance discovery on a shopping trip as I am a 33R and this size is hard to find. I also have sensory issues and it’s very hard to find material that doesn’t irritate my skin. I tried on a pair of R&G and knew I’d found a winner. Bought two pairs immediately and haven’t looked back 😊

Not What I Wanted
These are slim jeans, not straight as advertised. Wasn`t expecting stretch fabric which I dislike. Also don`t seem very hard wearing - very lightweight & more brushed denim than denim
