QUEENSTOWN HIGHLIGHTS ITINERARY

DAY ONE
Arrival Day

Your journey with us begins at Queenstown airport where you will be met by your Rodd & Gunn host and transferred by luxury vehicle to The Lodge Bar by Rodd & Gunn on the shores of Lake Wakatipu.

On the drive into town your host will give you an orientation of this picturesque region, stopping on Queenstown Hill to soak up the incredible views and point out some areas of interest to prepare you for the experiences that lie ahead of you.

Your luggage will be dropped off at your accommodation giving you time to browse the Rodd & Gunn lodge and enjoy your welcome cocktail before escorting you to your accommodation.

This evening, we welcome you to enjoy dinner at The Lodge Bar, with a spectacular view of Lake Wakatipu at your leisure, or try one of Queenstown’s many great restaurants.

DAY TWO:

9:00am
Your Rodd & Gunn host will meet you at your accommodation to begin your exploration of our Queenstown Essentials Experience.

Blow out the cobwebs with a hair raising, scream-out-loud jet boat experience on the mighty Shotover River. A Queenstown original that packs a huge punch, this is the classic way to start your adventure.

Continue by luxury vehicle to the historic village of Arrowtown where you can meet local artists who have built their homes amidst the inspiring and stunning landscapes. Visit the galleries of artists Jenny Mehrtens, Graham Brinsley and sculptor Shane Woolridge or browse the boutique shops of this charming village. You may choose to hike out on one of the many trails surrounding the Arrow River and breathe in the pure fresh alpine air.

Your host will then take you through the beautiful Gibbston Valley to explore Peregrine winery featured on our Rodd & Gunn Lodge Bar menu. Meet the team behind a leading Central Otago wine brand, meander through the vines and enjoy a tasting of the cool climate wines.

Your journey then takes you to Akarua Wine and Kitchen by Artisan where you will enjoy a late lunch and a sampling of Akarua featured wines from our Rodd & Gunn collection. Set amidst cottage gardens, surrounded by golden farmland and snow capped mountains, this is the perfect location to sip and savor your days memories of dramatic landscapes and unique local legends that embody the spirit and heart of Queenstown.

5:00pm
At the end of your experience your host will drop you to The Lodge Bar on the shores of Lake Wakatipu or your accommodation.

DAY THREE

Explore Queenstown at your leisure or select from one of our Rodd & Gunn hand crafted experiences (additional costs apply):

DAY FOUR

Enjoy the morning at your leisure.

Your Rodd & Gunn host will provide luxury transfers to Queenstown Airport to meet your departure flight.
